09:55 – 10:30: First Images from Europe’s First Meteorological Infrared Sounder in Geostationary Orbit – Agora (level 0)
Join Phil Evans, Director-General at EUMETSAT and others for the first public presentation of images from Europe’s pioneering infrared atmospheric sounder in geostationary orbit, flying aboard EUMETSAT’s Meteosat Third Generation Sounder-1 satellite.
 
10:30 – 11:30: Digital Ocean: a Space of Sovereignty and Security – Agora (level 0)
Follow Andrius Kubilius (European Commissioner for Defence and Space) and Costas Kadis (European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans) as they discover new use cases of the EU Digital Twin of the Ocean. Mercator Ocean CEO Pierre Bahurel will present key applications, from turtle-tracking to maritime traffic management, navigation and naval operations. These practical demonstrations will be followed by a moderated discussion in the Agora.
